Meet Angelica Horton, Traditions' Featured Employee of the Month! Angelica was born in Cincinnati but has lived in the quaint town of West Chester, Indiana, for most of her life. She has been a nurse at Traditions of Aboite for nearly a year.
Angelica and Michael, her husband of 7 years, have 3 beautiful children, Chloe (12), Makayla (6) and Vincent (5).
“When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family above everything else, but I also enjoy kayaking, attending concerts and travelling when I can!”
The residents at Traditions of Aboite feel like an extended family to Angelica.
“I come to work each day with the goal of bringing a little extra sunshine to each of my resident’s lives. I love being a positive part of their day. Their smiles are everything. Traditions is unlike anyplace I’ve ever worked,” said Angelica. “The way the staff comes together makes it feel like we are a family. The teamwork here is top notch!”
“Angelica always maintains a positive attitude. Her calm and confident nature is so comforting and reassuring to our residents, families, and staff alike,” said Jackie Karkiewicz, Fort Wayne’s Wellness Director. “She is always ready to jump in and help when needed. Her willingness to do so promotes and encourages teamwork among the staff. Angelica takes the time to engage with our residents and really listens to what they have to say. The residents often share how much that means to them.”
